Chairman of Emohua Local Government Area, Dr Chidi Lloyd has inaugurated the newly appointed Ubimini Community Development Committee (CDC).
Performing the inauguration in his office at Emohua Council Secretariat on Friday, Dr Lloyd charged the new caretaker committee to work in synergy with revelant stakeholders in Ubimini to promote peace and unity in the community.
The council chairman said the appointment of a caretaker committee to pilot the affairs of Ubimini Community Development Committee followed the ban placed on CDC and Youth Council elections in Rivers State State by the State Government.
The Local Government Chairman directed the Community Development Committee to ensure the safety of the council engineers handling the construction of Ubimini Road being executed in the community by the Local Government, in order to attract more Government presence to the community.
